  • 摘要:Automation technology have provided us with varioussystems that reduces the time and human error.particularly four wheelers are very difficult to drive in the reversedirection. As personally one is very careful about, otherwisedamage being caused to the vehicle. In view of this to provide aproper guidance to the vehicle in reverse direction, means areprovided. Presently the vehicle has alarm system for maintainingthe safe distance between vehicle and object while moving inreverse direction. When the vehicle gets too close to the object, thealarm is triggered this warns the driver about an object. But thisfeature has many problems and is prone to human error.have enhanced the faci l ity by using automawhen an obstacle is close by. Therefore, in this paper we proposean “Automatic Reverse Braking system” to prevent collision byusing sensors to detect obstacles. The “Automatic ReverseBraking system” will process the sensor data and control tvehicle to prevent accidents caused by careless driving ordifficulty in detecting objects in reverse path. In this controllinglogic is implemented on FPGA using Xilinx software. The systemdesigned by VHDL keeps a distance between the object andvehicle to prevent accidents
