  • 摘要:Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM)is prominent standard for 4G and next generation wirelesscommunication systems. OFDM is one of the most popular keybroadband technologies for LTE and next generation.divides the wideband among the set of orthogonal overlappingsubcarriers hence the presence of the carrier frequency offset(CFO) can introduce severe distortion in an OFDM system. As itresults the loss of orthogonalityamong the subcarriers so thiscreates the interference among the subcarrier this calIntercarrier interference (ICI). System performance can beimproved by Discrete Fourier transform (DFTOFDM (Single Carrier OFDM ),the benefit of using DFT precoded OFDM under conditions with ICI present are clearlyevident by comparing to traditional OFDM under similarconditions. SC-OFDM has zero ICI and the low Peakpower ratio (PAPR).The following analysis of OFDM and SCOFDM systems with ICI present is provided to show how ICIaffects overall performance. Currently, the demand for mobiledata is increasing rapidly as more people switch to smartphonesand a new standard had been introduced to address the issue.Single Carrier Frequency Division Multi-Access (SCdefined as the uplink modulation for LTE.
