摘要：Face recognition has been one of the mostinteresting and important research fields in the past two decades.The reasons come from the need of automatic recognitions andsurveillance systems, the interest in human visual system on facerecognition, and the design of human-computer interface, etc.Altering facial appearance using surgical procedures has raised achallenge for face recognition algorithms. These proceduresamend the facial features and skin texture thereby providing amakeover in the appearance of face. This paper focuses onanalyzing the effect of plastic surgery in face recognitionalgorithms and a multimodal bio-metric feature extractoralgorithm is proposed therefore to match face images before andafter plastic surgery.
