摘要:Visual Cryptography is a special type of encryption technique which is used to hide the information and da ta in images. In this technique the decryption process is done without any complex cryptographic computation. The encrypted data is decrypted using Human Visual S ystem (HVS). This is the advantage of the visual secret sharing scheme. The encryption techniq ue requires a cryptographic computation to divide the image into a number of parts called share. This paper presents design of two stage binary image security scheme using (2, 2) Visual Cry ptography Technique such that no one is able to get back the origin al image at the first decoding stage. As the cryptographic algorithm becomes more relevant, it will become more efficient. So, the basic model of Visual Cryptography is not an efficient tool to hide the information anymore. This method aims to improve effi ciency of VCS. The performance of proposed algorithm is compared with three different binary images. Result shows that there is no residual information present in the shares
