  • 摘要:The study intended to assess differences in the performance of students at school and at university levels and the impact of the perception of students about the contributing factors of family, teachers, and self-efforts on their academic achievements. Data were initially collected through a structured questionnaire from a sample of 261 final year students of engineering departments at universities of Lahore. The results were compared through the means of their grades or scores at the school examinations and at the universities examinations. Similarly the statistics were computed to know the impact of perceptions of the sampled students about the above mentioned three contributing factors on their academic performance both at school and at university level. The study found significant differences between university and school levels regarding the performance of students. A significant change in the perception of students about the share of family, teachers, and self-efforts on their performance was assessed.
