摘要：La sentencia de la Corte Internacional de Justicia del 19 de noviembre de 2012 desestima la reclamación nicaragüense sobre el archipiélago colombiano de San Andrés, Providencia y Santa Catalina, y establece una nueva delimitación fronteriza marítima entre ambos países que supone la ganancia de una importante superficie de mar para Nicaragua. Este traspaso soberano no afecta únicamente a Colombia y Nicaragua, sino que implica a otros Estados que también tienen intereses en una zona del Caribe occidental especialmente rica en recursos y sobre la que existe una importante preocupación en materia de seguridad. El presente artículo repasará los diferentes y múltiples condicionantes que influyen en la configuración este nuevo y complejo contexto geopolítico.
其他摘要：The veredict of the International Court of Justice of 19 November 2012 dismissed the claim Nicaragua had over the Colombian archipelago of San Andrés, Providencia and Santa Catalina, and establishes a new maritime border demarcation between the two countries which implies a significant surface of sea gain for Nicaragua. This sovereignty transference not only affects Colombia and Nicaragua, but involves other States with interests in an area of the western Caribbean particularly known for its rich resources, and over which there is a significant security concern. This paper will consider and review the different and multiple conditioning factors that influence in the configuration of this new and complex geopolitical context.
