摘要：در این نوشتار نقش حمایت اجتماعی در بهداشت روانی بیماران مزمن روانی و خانواده‌های آنان بررسی شده و ویژگی‌های ساختاری وکارکردی شبکه اجتماعی آنان برشمرده شده است. همچنین، اثر هریک از ویژگی‌های یاد شده بر سازگاری بیماران مزمن روانی بررسی گردیده و در پایان ضرورت مداخله در شبکه اجتماعی بیماران با هدف افزایش حمایت اجتماعی و تقویت شبکه اجتماعی آنان مورد تأکید قرار گرفته است.
其他摘要：This article deals with social support and its importance in the well being of chronic mental patients and their families. Stuctural and functional characteristics of scial network, and their effects on adjustment of chronic mental patients are reviewed. It emphasizes, interventions in social network of chronic mental patients to increase social support and strengthen social networks.
