标题：Los efectos del material particulado 10 (PM10) y de las variables climatológicas en las admisiones hospitalarias por enfermedades respiratorias en niños en la ciudad de Santa Marta Colombia, 2008- 2009
摘要：Cross-sectional study was conducted in the city of Santa Marta to describe the epidemiological association between particulate matter (PM10) and weather conditions and their effects on respiratory diseases in children under age 14 during 2008 and 2009. There was a weak but significant association in both years in relation to the diagnosis of respiratory diseases of the upper airway and winter. Specifically in 2008, it was observed epidemiological association with statistical significance (p 0.05). For both years there was not a significant risk (p> 0.05) to present acute or chronic respiratory symptoms and living in an exposed area, but there was no significant epidemiological association of acute respiratory symptoms and living in exposed area. This study allowed knowing the behavior of respiratory diseases in Santa Marta, where there was a trend in the increase in diagnoses of infectious diseases of the respiratory tract, especially during the winter.
