摘要：The present article is presented in the mark of the Master in Education of the System of State Universities of the Colombian Caribbean (SUE Caribbean), headquarters Magdalena, result of the thesis that takes for title: “Social representation of the Environment and the Environmental Education. A Study in Santa Marta’s City”. The proposed objective of the report is the exploration and description of the one referred semantic and the social representation,expert in the phases of knowledge, attitude and perception, of the Environmental Education in the students of the University of the Magdalena. Six Abilities of the University of the Magdalena were studied, with a total of 1643 subjects, where alone 44 of them refer to the Environment, what means that alone 2,7% of the subjects of the University of the Magdalena in all the programs of all the Abilities refers to the Environment. Showing the students a little knowledge of Environmental Education, attitude superior and good perception on the topic. Keywords: Referred semantic, social representation, environment
