  • 摘要:The incidence of cardiovascular disease has been associated as the main cause of death does not violent in Colombia. Hypertension (HT) is the highest prevalence of cardiovascular disease in our nation, with a range of between 13% and 23 %,(1) for the high frequency in the adult population. Recent advances in the study of the ETS show that the genetic component, determines 50% of high blood pressure (BP) and the remaining 50% is determined by the presence of a number of exogenous risk factors. The values of PA in the exercise of dental practice can be changed, so it is important to take into account when implementing surgical procedures, as they may be subject to various risk factors such as stress, alcoholism, smoking, consumption of drugs, sedentary lifestyle, among others, its agents that can cause an increase or decrease, as a whole constitutes a serious risk to the patient 33, life if there is no proper care before any surgery practices. In order to determine the variability of blood pressure generated in the procedures pre and post-surgical samples were taken from 33 patients in the dental clinic at the University of Magdalena to which were conducted taking a blood pressure at each stage of the event in question. The data are tabulated and analyzed using descriptive statistics, which produces 64% of patients had increased blood pressure following the surgical procedure, 18% maintained the pressure was normal and the remaining drop of it.
