摘要：Tthis article scientific looked to investigate the adaptation process of the Brazilian University to the new paradigms imposed by the neoliberal politics. The analysis takes place from a brief historical of the liberalism and its arrangements in education. Also pointing the relativeness of the supposed democratization and modernization of education by the new perspectives imposed by the market. Questions are also raised such as university autonomy and legitimating of the institution of superior education.
