摘要:The article is devoted to generalization of the international experience of applying hedonic indexes in economy and the possibilities of using this approach in the study of the effectiveness of local self-government under conditions of policy of decentralizing public administration in Ukraine. The article considers both the strengths and weaknesses of the hedonic approach to assessing the quality of goods and services, analyzes the American experience of alternative inflation calculation excluding hedonic indexes. However, there are serious weaknesses, connected with the lack of quality and reliable statistics, and the complexity of making calculations and their “distribution” among the interested consumers and obtaining primary statistics. The author makes a conclusion about the methodological possibility of using the integral index of life quality at the regional level on the basis of hedonic indexes.
