摘要：Earthquakes, floods, nuclear and chemical accidents as well as air, soil and water pollution indicate the increasing presence of accidents caused by intensive development and often uncontrolled application of technological development. There is raising awareness how to be better prepared, how to ensure greater compatibility and operation activities and measures for the prevention of accidents and how to make changes in social and technological developments for the benefit of both the nature and future generations. The paper describes the use of various information systems (IS) in the management of environmental risks and gives a proposal to develop a unique IS in Serbia.
