  • 摘要:The vehicular Ad-hoc network is the emerging research area which makes a phrase Network on the wheel. Vehicular traffic is attracting a growing attention from both academia and industry, due to the amount and importance of the related applications, ranging from road safety to traffic control up to mobile entertainment. Vehicular Ad-hoc network is a collection of communication vehicles to broadcast desired information. Vehicular Ad-hoc Network are self organized networks built up from moving vehicles form source to destination. Vehicular Ad-hoc network are a part of the broader class of Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs). In VANET high speed is the real characteristics which leads to frequent breakdown, interference etc. therefore performance of Ad-hoc routing protocols is helpful to improve the quality of service. In the present paper discuss various Ad-hoc routing protocols which is reactive and proactive. Routing protocols is used to improve the performance in terms of packet delivery, bytes and average jitter in VANET scenario. The research protocols i.e. AODV, DYMO and OLSR are compressed and show that real traffic scenarios of VANET. Where AODV and DYMO is reactive, OLSR is proactive protocols are compared for IEEE 802.11p (MAC) standard using Qualnet 6.1 as a simulation tool. Varying parameters of VANET shows that in real traffic scenarios reactive performs more efficiently for IEEE 802.11p (MAC).
