摘要:In this paper, we report our experience in addressing practical computational issues influencing the use of Geographic Information Systems and Geo-spatial data from the standpoint of Semantic Web. We discuss the need for treating GIS as Virtual RDF Graphs. In particular, we present a declarative mapping language as well as a prototypical system (namely G2R) that allows SPARQL query involving spatial computation to be executed in a mixed environment where a GIS and a RDF repository are orchestrated. The approach is evaluated by comparing G2R against two similar solution provided by Virtuoso e AllegroGraph
