摘要:Nomination process is the first stage of theidentification process. The effectiveness and efficiencyin nomination process of teacherstrained and not trained on gifted studentswere examined in this study. Static groupcomparison or nonequivalent control groupdesign was used. Teacher rating scale, informationform and Raven's Standard ProgressiveMatrices Plus (RSPM+) were used as the datacollection tools. Teachers’ effectiveness and efficiencyratios in the identification processwere calculated in the data analysis. In identification,efficiency is ratio of number of giftedstudents identified by teachers to number ofstudents nominated. Effectiveness in identificationis the ratio of the number of gifted studentsidentified by teacher to number of studentsare really gifted. The result showed thatthe effectiveness and efficacy of teachers attainingtraining are higher than those nottrained.
