摘要:The aim of this study is to examine the views of teachers on aggressive behaviours by pre-school children. The study group consists of 30 teachers working at public and private pre-school education institutions in three cities (Ankara, Konya and Istanbul) of Turkey who were determined by suitable sampling method. The study was carried out by qualitative research method where data was collected by question based structured interview form. The findings were analysed with the content analysis technique. As a result of the study, it was determined that physical aggression behaviours were the most frequent types of behaviour in preschool children, there was a relation between gender and aggressive behaviour, parent attitudes, personality of the child and media effect were the leading factors causing aggression. It was also revealed by the study that the aggressive behaviours were mainly seen during play activities, dramatic plays and block centre.Most of the educators placed importance on the cooperation with the family to prevent aggressive behaviour and that the aggressive behaviours negatively affected the classroom management and the development of both the child who behaved aggressively and the one who was subjected to aggressive behaviour.
