摘要:-The "leo. – Level-One Study" research project examines the literacy level of German-speaking inhabitants in Germany and specifically focuses on the lower level, i.e. on persons who read and write at a lower skill level. In order for this study to be successfully implemented, test tasks had to be developed that provide a differentiated picture of reading and writing skills. In addition, the test group had to be motivated to take part in such a test, since people who have rather low reading and writing skills in particular might refuse to voluntarily participate in the test on account of their fears and concerns that their weaknesses could thus be discovered. The challenge in designing the study was thus to eliminate barriers for the participants by using funny and entertaining test tasks and at the same time to obtain useful results. The present article gives an account of the research project, its conceptual background and the pre-tests that have already been carried out and focuses on the viewpoint and experience of the interviewers.
