其他摘要:The main objective of the study was to evaluate long-term growth response of spruce to extreme stress event during the winter of 1995/96 in the Kru.né hory Mts. (Czech Republic) using methods of dendrochronology. For the purpose of the study, ten permanent monitoring plots located along the main ridge of the Kru.né hory Mts. were selected. Increment cores were sampled in spring 2014 in all plots. For the 1995–2013 period, data from the regular evaluation of height growth, crown conditions, and the content of stress elements in needles were available. Radial and height growth both showed a.clear reaction to the stress event, which manifested as an abrupt decrease in the values observed. Radial growth regenerated very quickly over three years regardless to damage level. Height growth seems to be more sensitive indicator with the five-year phase of regeneration on heavily damaged plots. Height increment had a.significantly negative correlation both with degree of defoliation and fluorine content in needles, while tree-ring widths had no significant relationship to the other parameters of vitality. Principal component analysis showed that fluorine content in the second needle-year class is a.significant parameter explaining the greatest proportion of data variability.
