其他摘要:Tree anchoring in the soil by fixation of the root system is the most basic aspect of tree stabilization and resistance to uprooting. Understanding ofthis phenomenon is important especially in parks, in the linear alleys or for solitary individuals in an urban environment, as well as in the forestvegetation. The assessment of tree anchoring in the subsoil makes use of a number of methods, of which destructive and mechanical approacheswere discussed earlier (Čermák et al. 2015). The present study summarizes the approaches based on (i) sonic tomography and (ii) measuring thetranspiration stream. The category of validated, specific methods stemming from the principles of ecophysiology includes a set of techniques basedon measuring the transpiration stream and deriving the distribution of active root systems, as well as impulse tomography, which includes thepotential assessment of root-rot. Furthermore, there are methods of acoustic tomography to detect and assess the condition of large skeletal rootsand the trunk base. The two methods, or rather a set of methodologies form a coherent system stemming from scientific physical foundations.Naturally, both of these have been validated for several dozens of woody species under differentiated natural conditions as part of a number ofspecific studies and form, along with the set of destructive and mechanical methods, an interconnected complex for solving the mentioned issue.
