摘要:The effect of triazolotriazepinon (TAT) on the corrosion of carbon steel (C35) in 1 M HCl is studied by the potentiodynamic polarization and impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurements. The experimental results reveal that (TAT) has a good inhibiting effect on the metal tested in 1 M HCl solution. The protection efficiency increases with increasing inhibitor concentration to attain 84% at 10 -3 M but decreased with temperature. Activation parameters and Gibbs free energy for the adsorption process were calculated and discussed. Potentiodynamic polarization curves indicated that the (TAT) derivative is a mixed-type inhibitor. Impedance measurements showed that the double layer capacitance decrease and charge-transfer resistance increase with increase in the inhibitor concentration. Adsorption of inhibitor on the steel surface in 1.0 M HCl follows the Langmuir isotherm model. The quantum chemical calculations is performed at the density functional theory (DFT) level using B3LYP functional with the 6-31G (d).
