  • 摘要:Recognition of two dimensional shapes is without doubts an significant and still open research part incomputer vision and pattern recognition .Adopting biological alignment tools into this problem, sequence alignment inbiological field is already investigated by different techniques. Human vision reveals that the shape feature is asignificant perception to differentiate different objects. This stimulates researchers to find consistent and efficient shapefeatures for discerning objects by machine vision. Many methods have been suggested in the past , many of them basedone on features extracted from the boundary: actually, shape contours have shown to be very sensitive in manyperspectives. In the proposed method, we encrypt shapes as biological sequences, using standard and well recognizedsequence alignment tools to invent a similarity score, finally used in a nearest neighbour situation
