摘要：Fingerprint technology is no more safer in today’s world. Fingerprints are unique for everyone but it isalso easily reproducible, without the use of complicated technologies. In this paper we demonstrate the matching of anink stamped fingerprint of an individual with a picture of his thumb. The matching process involves few MATLABprogramming and Photoshop. For clear, noise free samples the match percentage can be anywhere between 65-100%.Usually a value above 70% is considered a perfect match.
