摘要:In this paper Silicon Carbide(SiC) powders mixing into the dielectric fluid of EDM on machiningcharacteristic of SS316 L materials has been proposed. Various process parameters namely peak current, pulse-on time,powder concentration, etc have been considered. The process performance is measured in terms of Response variableslike Material Removal Rate (MRR) & Surface Roughness (SR). Number of experiments to be conducted is based onTaguchi orthogonal array with three level and three factors. The addition of SiC powder in Dielectric increases MRRand improves the Surface roughness of SS316L material.
