  • 摘要:The research includes the experimental results of Submerged Arc Welding in terms of tensile strengthand percentage elongation conducted on mild Steel work piece. The six experiments were conducted with differentslag-flux percentage to study its effect on output parameters of interest. The design of Experts software was used toanalyze the data. The selected process variable i.e. slag percentage in slag-flux mixture was varied up to six levels andone factor design of experiments was selected to design the experiments. Response surface methodology (RSM) wasused to develop the regression equation relating response characteristics and process variable. The results weretabulated and regression equations were developed from the experimental data and it shows that as the slag percentageincreases tensile strength decreases and tensile strength obtained within 80% slag mixture were found to be above AWSrequirement line. The statistical analyses were done with the help of Analysis of Variance (ANOVA).
