摘要：Groundwater quality is an important issue for drinking and irrigation purpose. For representinggroundwater analysis statistically water quality parameters were measured to assess the groundwater quality ofdifferent villages of Sanganer Tehsil. The analyses indicated EC, TDS, nitrate, fluoride and chloride in some samplesare in high proportions in comparison to WHO standards. For classifying groundwater quality for different purposesand in particular for irrigation, plots like Durov, Schoeller, Wilcox diagrams have been drawn. The ionic dominance formajor cations and anions is respectively HCO3-˃Cl-˃SO42- & Na+˃Ca2+˃Mg2+˃K+. Schoeller diagram shows moderateto acceptable quality of water while Wilcox method indicates that mostly water samples are in C3S1 class (highsalinity-low SAR).
