摘要:Distributed generation (DG) to the power system may lead to nonselective protection actions. This paper proposes a novel method to determine the optimal settings of the Direct Over current Relays (DOCR's) for the distribution network comprising of DG. Consequently, it provides to the utility planners one set of relay settings valid for different capacities of DG units varying between zero and the maximal desired capacity i.e. a method capable of optimally identifying one set of relay settings valid for all possible future DG planning scenarios. The proposed approach is tested on the distribution part o f the radial test system. The protection coordination problem is formulated and is simulated in MATLAB/C-Program
