摘要:A novel topology for three-phase SEIG feeding single-phase loads by using static synchronous compensator (STATCOM)s deals with single-phase po wer generatio n by a three-phase self-excited induction generator (SEIG) working in concurrence with a STATCOM with the combination of dc capacitor. The STATCOM is used to decrease the unbalanced currents caused by single-phase lo ads that is connected across the two terminals of the three- phase SEIG. Therefore, the SEIG is able to feeding single-phase loads up to its maximum power. Moreover, the diode clamped multilevel inverter with self sustaining of capacitor (STATCOM) changes the SEIG terminal voltage through reactive power compensation and also decreases the harmo nics injected by consumer loads. To generate gatin g pulses of the three-phase STATCOM by using Single-phase synchronous D-Q frame theory-based control algorithm is used to it. The performance of the SEIG–STATCOM system is evaluated for both linear and nonlinear single-phase loads.
