摘要:Chiral Schiff base ligands (CSBLs) are synthesized in water as a green approach. Bis [(R,R/S,S)-2-{(E)-(2-hydroxy-1-phenylalkylimino)methyl}phenoxide-κ2-N,O]Palladium(II)/Nickel(II) complexes(PdL1-L4andNiL1-L4)are prepared from these enantiopure CSBLs. Metal complexes of nickel(II) and Palladium(II) ions are characterized fortheir probable structures by spectroscopic techniques. All complexes are screened for their antimicrobial activityagainst some selected pathogenic bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli) and fungi (Candida albicans,Aspergillusnigers). Amongst the 8 complexes,PdL1-PdL4 exhibited both antibacterial, antifungal activity and NiL1-NiL4exhibited moderate to good antifungal activity. PdL2 and PdL3 displayed excellent antibacterial and antifungalactivities respectively.
