  • 摘要:Various pure and mixed metal tartrate compounds find different applications. In the present study, the leadcobaltmixed levo tartrate crystals with different compositions were grown by using gel growth technique. Long, dendrite,white crystals as well as reddish spherulitic crystals were grown. From EDAX the exact composition of lead and cobalt wasestimated in the grown crystals. The amount of Pb was found to be much higher than Co. The powder XRD studiesindicated that the unit cell parameters of Pb-Co tartrate were closer to the Pb tartrate due to higher amount of Pb in themixed crystals. The stoichiometric formula of different composition of mixed Pb-Co tartrate was suggested. The impedancespectroscopic studies were carried out on pelletized samples from 100 Hz to 2 MHz range at room temperature. Thevariation of the real and imaginary part of impedance was studied with frequency of applied field. The Nyquist plot of purePb levo tartrate crystal exhibited the presence of two semi circles, whereas Pb-Co levo tartrate crystals showed only onesemi circle. The effect of additive was clearly shown in the Nyquist plot. The variation of dielectric constant and loss withfrequency was also carried out. The variation of ac conductivity with frequency has been discussed according to Jonscher’slaw
