摘要:The present paper describes statistical modeling of multistage fluidized bed for control of hazardouspollutant present in flue gas.The hydrodynamic studies relating to mixing index has been studied and comparedbetween the lower, middle and upper bed of the multistage fluidized column. A 24 full factorial central compositedesign (CCD) has been employed and quadratic model equations of mixing index has been developed. The values ofmixing index obtained through the developed models are found to agree well with their corresponding experimentalcounterparts with a very good correlation coefficient of 93%.From the experimental data it is revealed thatsimultaneously both mixing and segregation takes place in lower and middle and upper bed respectively.
