  • 摘要:The fast growing technology in wireless communication has led to the development of MANETs application in every aspect of human life that ranges from class room coaching to defence, military, disaster hit areas, personal area networking etc. MANET is a self-configuring network formed with mobile nodes with wireless connectivity, and does not have any centralized administration. So, the MANET does not have a static topology. Topology changes dynamically i.e. some new mobile nodes may join the network and some other mobile nodes may leave the network. So keeping track of the path to deliver the message is a very crucial task in MANET. Routing is even more crucial in MANET when security is associated with routing. Further, the data must be secure during transmission. Wireless communication by nature is prone to error. Along with the wireless communication, MANET is subjected to many types of attacks that may be inside or outside of the network as there is no fixed infrastructure for it. Many routing protocols have been proposed in the literature and the performance of the routing protocols have been analysed under many adverse situations. The main two reactive routing protocols such as AODV and DSR has attracted many researchers to measure the performance as these protocols are basic building blocks for on-demand routing protocol. Even though many studies present the performance of DSR, it has not been analysed with NetSim Simulator. In this paper, the performance of DSR protocol has been analysed under Black Hole and Sink Hole attack using NetSim Simulator
