摘要：From the seminal works to present criticism, narrative space has traditionally been viewed as a mimetic strategy of the realist discourse where the fantastic irrupts.However, how space contributes not to create but to transgress the reality established in the text is an aspect that has been largely ignored.This article aims to contribute to the critical corpus of the fantastic, in particular the Postmodern fantastic, by presenting a clear example in which the physical dimension of space transcends its function as stage for characters and events and becomes the subject of the fantastic transgression.In order to do this, the analysis is centred in the short story "Los palafitos" (Ángel Olgoso, 2007), and the spatial transgressions cover four domains: topography (natural environment), architecture (built and articulated space), cartography (represented space) and finally world (space as general frame of reference).
