摘要:Multinational enterprises (MNEs) represent both cause and result of the new economicgeography of globalization. Thus, the dynamics and trends of the world’s most influential MNEscontribute decisively to the new global architecture and to the economic development, beinginfluenced, at their turn, by these processes of continuous reconfiguration and evolution that takeplace on the global arena. The paper proposes a comparative (in space) and historical (in time) analysis of the mostwell known global rankings of the multinational enterprises – Fortune Global 500 on one hand, and The world's top 100 non-financial TNCs, ranked by foreign assets and Top 100 non-financialTNCs from developing and transition economies ranked by foreign assets (classifications madeby UNCTAD), on the other hand.
