摘要：Whenever there comes a cybercrime caserelated to multimedia, the first question which comes in amind is what the source of this suspect multimedia is? Casesrelated to illegal copying and re-distribution of the media isgrowing innumerably. Digital photograph and video footageare an important or even crucial part of the incriminatingevidence. In almost all past studies they have either focusedon traditional cameras or traditional mobile cameras. Tocompete with the latest technology where sensors qualitieshave improved a lot it is very difficult to identify the propersource of a suspect video file. This compels further an area ofstudy. We are using wavelet based technique to identify thesource. To check the correlation performance we have usedPeak-to-Correlation Energy (PCE) criteria. We have testedmore than 250 videos/images taken from digital cameras/mobile cameras, using different permutation andcombinations i.e. same make and models, same make anddifferent models and different make and models, withaccuracy rate of around 98%.
