摘要：Scholarship is a critical tool to facilitate educationfor eligible students, especially those who are socially andeconomically challenged in the state, and bring them on to themainstream development track. Niger State ScholarshipBoard processes large amount of scholarship applicationsevery year. Processing these applications is always timeconsumingand prone to errors due to their current paperbasedsystem of processing. In this paper, an e-ScholarshipSystem was designed and implemented in order to allowstudents of Niger state indigene across the country apply forscholarship online with the Niger State Scholarship Board.The system was designed Using Object Oriented Analysis andDesign (OOAD) methodology. The application was developedusing Hypertext pre-processor (PHP), AJAX, JavaScript,Hyper Text Mark-up Language (HTML) as the front end andMySQL database as the backend. The E-scholarship systemprovides online application solutions that save time, and sendsnotifications using SMS alerts and emails on the progress ofapplication in a timely and transparent manner.
