摘要：The primary objective of the outlier detection is tofind the data that are noticeably different from other data in aparticular dataset. Outlier detection has been a key researcharea in data mining since it has wide application in variousareas like Intrusion Detection System, Fraud Detection, BioScience and Drugs Research. Many approaches have beenproposed for efficient and accurate outlier detection.In this paper authors propose a soft computing technique;Genetic Algorithms for outlier detection.The proposed algorithm was tested on some standard datasetfor performance evaluation .The result was found to be veryencouraging.
