  • 摘要:Software product development is one of the wellknown fields which provide effective and timely developmentstrategies. Among its various process of SDLC, cost estimationfinancial decisions with their usages for the featureddevelopment. It identifies the expected resources applied onthe basis of some predefined models which apply theattributable analysis for cost estimation. Primary goal istowards getting the accuracy and optimality in estimation.This paper deals with study of various cost models along withthe well known Constructive Cost Model. There are severaldifferent models available for the estimation of softwareproject. One of the most popular cost estimation models isCOCOMO. In intermediate COCOMO, software estimation isdone based on scaling of fifteen cost drivers from very low toextra high. There is a lack of approach available for theselection of this scaling and also no effective estimationapproach available for the cloud based applicationdevelopment.So this work formulates the factor using estimated monetaryvalue (EAV) for considering the impact of risk in costestimation as a quantitative approach. The EAV process isconcerned with analyzing, identifying and responding toparticular risks in its overall lifecycle. It actually applies thetolerance limits along with the uncertainties to the priorestimation. Here measuring the uncertainty at the initial stagesof project lifecycle or estimation, some contingency plan mightbe developed. With the help of quantitative analysis of costdrivers, more accurate scaling in terms of risk can be doneand effort adjustment factor calculated so that softwareproject estimation must be done more persistently.
