摘要：The Latvian ICT sector is unquestionably the leader in co-operation with educators. In the year 2000, leading Latvian professional ICT associations established the Council of Professional Education. The Council on behalf of employers and industry has coordinated the development of requirements for needed professionals, has established requirements for qualification exams, and approves membership of qualification commissions. Based on these requirements and on ACM/IEEE Computing Curricula, the University of Latvia performs an innovative computing study programme that organically comprises academic and professional education, and covers all the five ACM/IEEE Computing Curricula disciplines: computer science, software engineering, information systems, information technology, and computer engineering.
