摘要：En este artículo se presentan algunos datos sobre la vida de Julián Íñiguez de Medrano, autor de La silva curiosa (París, 1583), que desdicen algunas de las informaciones que los historiadores de la literatura española del Siglo de Oro han manejado hasta hoy. Medrano nació, y murió, mucho antes de lo que se presumía, y perteneció a la corte de los reyes de Navarra desde, al menos, los años 40 del siglo xvi. Vivió en primera persona las guerras de religión en Francia y, en sus últimos años, formó parte de la corte de la reina Margarita de Valois. Fue, finalmente, el fundador de un fecundo linaje de pequeños nobles del sudoeste de Francia.
其他摘要：This article introduces some facts concerning the life of Julián Íñiguez de Medrano, author of La silva curiosa (Paris, 1583), facts that belie much of the information that has been used by historians of Spanish literature of the Golden Age up to the present day. Medrano was born and died much earlier than presumed, and he was part of the court of the kings of Navarre at least from the 1540s onwards. He experienced the wars of religion in France first-hand, and towards the end of his life he became part of the court of Queen Marguerite of Valois. Finally, he founded a prolific lineage of lesser nobility in southwest France.
