摘要：It has become a worrisome trend in Nigeria to notice that most Nigerians do not know their rights to the extent that their rights are constantly being violated unchallenged. One fertile area for the Violation of these rights is in the area of print and publishing industry In Nigeria. Against this backdrop, this study was undertaken to chronicle. The need for publishers to carry out their duties within the ambit of the Nigerian laws relating to print and publishing. The study recommends amongst others that there is a need for all institutions of higher learning In Nigeria to run courses in print and book publishing; media practitioners have a crucial role of creating awareness on the laws that could entrap the publisher in the course of duty.
