摘要：Image fusion is a process of combining the relevant information from set of images into a single image with more information and complete in all respects. It is defined as the set of methods, tools and means of using data from two or more different images to improve the quality of information. Image fusion technique can improve the quality and increase the application of these data. This paper focuses on some existing image fusion techniques for image fusion like the Averaging method, select maximum/select minimum, Discrete wavelet transform base fusion and Principal Component Analysis (PCA) based fusion and gives their comparative study together. This paper also focuses on application of image fusion techniques, and the parameters on which the evolution of image fusion can be done. The paper also discusses the design of image fusion technique with improvements in all the parameters of image fusion for getting more information in fused image.
