摘要：The purpose of this paper is to highlight the general maintenance scenario in the process industries of India. Data for the analysis collected through a structured questionnaire from processing industries of India. Statistical analysis mainly factor analysis and cluster analysis techniques were used to investigate the maintenance scenario in the processing industry. The study indicates that the companies are not focusing and giving attention to the many important issues related to maintenance. So, there is a great need for the Indian industry to change the maintenance culture in organization to achieve business excellence in comparison to their Global competitors
