摘要：The present study was taken up to assess the impact of intervention on the existing knowledge of adolescent girls on health & nutrition, reproductive health & child care, General knowledge & awareness and child rearing practices. The sample consisted of 150 adolescent girls from five villages. The study used standardized test to measure knowledge indices. The pretest results indicated low level of knowledge on all the four aspects of knowledge indices. With regard to child rearing practices, majority (72 %) of the respondents had medium level knowledge followed by 28 % high levels. Intervention packages developed on all knowledge aspects were imparted to adolescent girls through lectures, group discussions, slide shows, photographs etc for a period of one month. The developed intervention was implemented in two phases using time series design. Post test results indicated significant differences between pretest and post-test. Results indicated high level of improvement in general knowledge & awareness followed by child rearing practices.
