摘要：In this paper training of neural networks has been studied using multilayer perceptronfeed forward neural network, based upon the conjugate gradient method (CGM) employing supervised learning. The datasets used for training and testing purpose have been taken from the insurance sector.The convergence of the network training has been studied on MATLAB. Because of the highly dimensional nature of the data, linearization of the training problem through traditional functions is not desirable. The CGM when applied with neural networks is able to solve nonlinear and abstruse problems which are not possible to solve with early and traditional methods
