摘要:The effects of magnetic field on shock waves formation and propagation in the arterial blood flow in the presence of side branches are examined.The equations of continuity, momentum and energy governing the unsteady flow are solved analytically by the method of wave fr ont expansions.The side branches are accounted for by the introduction of a distributed outflow function in the equation of continuity. The corresponding lossesin momentum and energy due to the outflow are also specified. Explicit expressions for the shocks in the form of pressure, temperature andvelocity, and the time and distance at which shocks begins to form are obtained. The results are discussed quantitatively. It is established thatmagnetic field tends to delay shock formation, and when they are formed strengthens them
