摘要：Education is an essential factor for human development, enlightenment, advancement and spiritual fulfilment. Since ancient times, the human race has on a daily basis endeavoured on a path of discovery through education and other learning methods in order to enhance human development. This is therefore a timeless process for the Churches and in particular the missionary groups which have played a vital role in pioneering learning within tertiary education level especially in poor countries of Africa. In this regard allow me to pay a tribute and special thanks to a very deserving group of people- (the tertiary education teachers in Sierra Leone, Zambia and the DMI- missionary group) for their enlightened vision and commitment to the provision of quality university education in Sierra Leone and Zambia
