摘要:The pro-active and systematic search for best performances should be the two assumptionsof any management system, so safety and health management in organizations must also be guidedby these same precepts. However, the scientific production evidences that the performance evaluationprocesses in safety and health continue to be guided, in their essence, by intermittency, reactivity andnegativity, which are not consistent with the assumptions referenced above. Therefore, it is essentialthat health and safety at work management systems (HSW MS) are structured from an active andpositive viewpoint, focusing on continuous improvement. This implies considering performanceevaluation processes that incorporate, on the one hand, monitoring, measuring and verificationprocedures, and on the other hand, structured matrixes of results that capture the key factors ofsuccess, by mobilizing both reactive and proactive indicators. One of the instruments that can fulfillthese precepts of health and safety performance evaluation is the SafetyCard, a performancescorecard for HSW MS that we developed and will seek to outline and demonstrate over this paper.
