摘要：Main object of this paper is to present the organizational structure and the function of thesecurity system of the Republic of Macedonia by the regulatory authorities. The securityinstitutions, whose primary purpose is to cope with all sorts of threats and risks, need to beproperly interconnected and the cooperation should be on a high level. The security system isa reflection of the characteristics of the state and should be functional, professional and basedon law.The purpose of this paper is to present the employees’ authorities, their powers andresponsibilities in the security institutions, as well as determining their weaknesses andshortcomings, through the structure of the security system of the Republic of Macedonia. Forthis purpose, state security bodies will be considered, private security agencies and otherbodies.Special importance will be given to the results of the conducted empirical research for thelevel of functionality of the security institutions in the Republic of Macedonia, as well as thetypes of risks and threats for the safety and stability of the Macedonian citizens
