摘要：The article presents a versatile informative analysis of the phenomenon of patriotism. Patriotism is regarded as a phenomenon characterizing the relation of the subject to his country, his people and readiness for action to protect the traditions and customs of their homeland. The macro and micro factors of formation of patriotism are marked. Different approaches to the interpretation of the phenomenon of patriotism are revealed. It is shown that the complexity of the structural organization of the phenomenon of patriotism, including patriotic consciousness and patriotic activity exists. Various positions in the allocation and criteria of patriotism are formulated.
